Conservatory on Hindmarsh

Conservatory on Hindmarsh is a $70M, 19 level mixed use building incorporating 53 apartments, 5 floors of offices, ground floor retail and lobbies, 3 floors of car parking and storage and one floor of communal facilities (pool, gym, change rooms and bike parking). The project incorporates a large range of ESD initiatives including solar cells, a combined heat and power (CHP) micro turbine which produces electricity and hot water, high efficiency lighting, high efficiency air-conditioning, double glazing, low VOC materials and sustainable timbers. When Conservatory on Hindmarsh was approved by the government, it was Australia’s “greenest” mixed-use high rise building.

Conservatory on Hindmarsh Square was awarded the “Best High Density Development” award by the national UDIA (Urban Design Institute of Australia). We held the roles of architect, head consultant and interior designer. This design was created when PACT was known as Pruszinski Architects.
