St Basil’s Salisbury
This 14,000m2, $20M aged community development is in the last stages prior to being lodged for planning approval.
The plan is provide 80 resident rooms within a village setting located around two squares. An administration and community building has been designed to link the two storey units together and provide facilities for the residents. The concept is based around the De Hogewyk model pioneered in the Netherlands. This aged care project is dependent on the creation of a community hub. Its main building incorporates a café, restaurant and commercial kitchen, spa facilities, fitness suite, wellness centre, pharmacy, healthcare, cinema, lounge, supermarket, chapel, reception and associated administration areas.
This will be the first of its kind in South Australia and only the third in Australia, the main community hub building is very consistent with the brief outlined for the Grenville Community Connection Hub and we believe the extensive research and progression can be applied to our thinking for your project. This design was created when PACT was known as Pruszinski Architects.
